Social Impact Award: Submit your Social or Ecological Project Ideas (Germany)

Do you have a socially or ecologically effective idea that will positively change the society? It’s that time again and you can develop your own impact idea as part of the event and workshop formats! Social Impact Awards is inviting you to submit your developed impact idea and win a ticket to the SIA incubation.

Winning a ticket to the SIA incubation massively increases the chances of success of a social or ecological idea – more than 75% of the projects are still active four years after the support. In addition, over 70% of the ideas after the SIA incubation are more innovative, more effective and more feasible than before. For almost 90% of the projects, the mentoring during the incubation was helpful and that is just one of the many types of support for the ideas. The SIA incubation worth over €20,000already sets the course in the initial phase and forms the basis for later success.

Prize Information

• The 15 finalist projects receive:
  • 3 Month incubation program (worth over 20.000€).
  • Individual mentoring for your team & access to the expert pool.
  • Professional pitch video.
  • Benefits of SIA’s network & alumni community.
• From 15 finalists, 5 winning projects for SIA 2023 will be chosen. The projects can win:
  • 4 Jury Awards: €3.000
  • 1 Community Award: €3.000
  • Free ticket for the SIA Summit with all winner projects from all other SIA countries.
  • Access to the Alumni Network, through which all winners of the Social Impact Award Austria since 2009 are offered different opportunities and contacts.

Eligibility Criteria

The applications for Social Impact Award 2023 must meet the following:

• All core team members must be born between January 1, 1993 and December 31, 2008;
• The applicant(s) did neither participate in SIA’s incubation nor won SIA in previous years with the same idea;
• The ideas submitted in previous years, except previous finalists or winning ventures can be resubmitted in 2023.
• Individuals/teams can apply with new ideas even if they were selected as finalists or winners in previous years.
• The idea has not been legally founded before January 1st, 2022.
• The idea has not received formalized monetary support by an external party exceeding 6.000 € (e.g. angel investment, grants, prize money etc.) before the submission date.
