Deadline: 17 November 2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced a call for proposals to identify a cooperating partner that will support the enhancement of agricultural and agri-food production in the Boucle du Mouhoun Region of Burkina Faso.
The focus of this initiative aligns with the government’s national vision on promoting local expertise in agricultural and agri-food equipment. The initiative aims to build the socio-technical, economic, food, and nutritional resilience of communities to strengthen their resilience to the effects of shocks and climate change. WFP strives to make food systems more resilient and inclusive. Its global framework focuses on protecting food systems before, during, and after crises; restoring natural resources and supporting climate-resilient production; linking production to consumption; promoting healthy diets; and creating enabling environments for food systems.
This call for proposals is designed to select a cooperating partner, such as an NGO or Development Association, that is active in the field of agricultural and agri-food production technology development. The chosen partner will work to strengthen the technical, organizational, and material capacities of producer organizations for sustainable agriculture and quality agri-food processing. Interventions will focus on the Bankui Region, with particular emphasis on supporting small-scale producers, enhancing their organizational structures, and improving their capacity for sustainable growth.
Potential partners must be non-profit organizations duly registered in Burkina Faso and operational in the intervention areas. Through this initiative, WFP continues its commitment to advancing food security, promoting inclusive agricultural systems, and supporting national strategies that contribute to long-term food sovereignty.
