The U.S. Embassy in Malta is inviting women to join the academy for women entrepreneurs.
The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) has arrived in Malta through the U.S. Embassy in Malta and Women Directors in Malta (WDM) in time to celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.
WDM in collaboration with the American Embassy in Malta is proud to host the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) in Malta. AWE is committed to providing women with the knowledge, tools, and networks they need to establish and grow their businesses.
This U.S. Department of State program provides women entrepreneurs around the world with the skills, resources, and networks needed to start and scale successful businesses. For the first time, women entrepreneurs in Malta will be able to participate in this global entrepreneurship program. AWE 2021 is committed to providing women the knowledge, tools, and networks they need to grow their businesses.
AWE supports the U.S. whole-of-government effort known as the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) initiative aimed at advancing global women’s economic empowerment. The U.S. Embassy and WDM recognize the fundamental role that women play as engines of economic growth and development to promote healthy societies.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate, the following criteria must be met:
- You are a woman aged 18+;
- You understand and can follow the online material in English;
- You have an idea for a business or you have recently started one but want to learn more;
- You have basic computer skills;
- You are able to commit to a minimum of three hours per week to AWE.
