Deadline: 31 July 2017
The NordicBaltic Festival Platform (NBFP) is seeking projects for its “Collaborative Arts Projects” with an aim to foster cultural cooperation in the region by enhancing the number and strength of connections, the capacity and visibility of those festivals.
As one of the practical initiatives to foster artistic exchange, the NBFP has opened its 3rd call for cross-border collaborative projects. The initiative aims to bring together festivals for new and, hopefully, long lasting partnerships and to foster the exchange of practices and artistic ideas.
The main idea behind the current call for cooperative projects in the Nordic-Baltic and BSR area is to liven cultural collaboration within the region and as such the projects would already in essence enrich both the participants and their audiences.
Eligibility Criteria
- Arts & culture festivals or (individual) artists together with local/partner festivals from the Nordic-Baltic countries, plus Poland and Russian Federation, interested in collaborating with their peers (i.e. festivals) in the aforementioned region and presenting the project to other arts& culture festival leaders should consider applying.
- Festivals and artists from the following fields of arts & culture are included: music, dance, theatre, film, photography, design & applied arts, digital arts, literature, street & performance art, visual arts, cross-disciplinary.
- There will be no artistic limitations to the projects.
- All project types and applications will be considered.
- All details that the applicant could give to better describe their project idea will be appreciated.
- The projects must aim to have minimum 2 partners (i.e. at least one partner festival in addition to the applying festival; or, in case of (individual) artists, the artist plus 2 festival partners from 2 different countries) from the Nordic-Baltic and/or defined BSR area.
