The Teach For Malaysia is seeking applications for its fellowship.
The Teach For Malaysia Fellowship is an intensive, full-time, fully-paid, two-year leadership development programme in which Fellows teach in a high-need school. Fellows make a difference for the students and communities while identifying how they can be part of the solution to education inequity. Their Fellows receive intensive training and mentoring to develop themselves as a leader.
What skills will I learn during the Fellowship?
- Teach For Malaysia strongly believes that excellent teachers possess the same skills as excellent leaders in any field. Spending two years in the classroom will help Fellows develop leadership skills such as organization, communication, problem-solving in an unstructured environment, people management and resourcefulness that are valuable in any sector. Teach For Malaysia supports Fellows throughout this leadership development journey through training, workshops, and on-the-job coaching.
Benefits
- Fellows receive a competitive remuneration equivalent to a graduate teacher’s salary in the public school.
- TFM will provide an allowance of ~ RM700/month during the Pre-Service Programme.
Eligibility Criteria
- Before you proceed, you MUST meet the following eligibility criteria. Applications from ineligible candidates will not be processed.
- I am a Malaysian citizen.
- I understand that I must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) recognised by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and Ministry of Education (MOE).
- I have graduated or will be graduating latest by 31 January 2023.
- I am proficient in both Bahasa Melayu and English.
