The Beach Shell Fund of the King Baudouin Foundation provides financial support for talented young people who leave Special Youth Care and/or related organizations or institutions in West Flanders.
To this end, the Fund wants to support projects or initiatives that help this specific target group discover and develop their talents and can continue to support them in starting their independent life outside the provision and/or regular assistance.
Funding Information
- The financial support for selected projects amounts to a minimum of 5,000 euros and a maximum of 20,000 euros and is limited to 1 project per organization per year.
Target Audience
- The target group for this call are talented young people (16-25 years) seeking opportunities who either reside in a facility or have just been fired from it on the basis of their age.
- For the realization of the supporting projects and initiatives, this call is primarily aimed at West Flemish facilities and organizations from the (Special) Youth Care.
Eligibility Criteria
- Your project is primarily aimed at detecting and developing the talents of young people (16 to 25 years old) who are either staying in a facility or have just been released from it because they have reached the age of majority.
- Your project is submitted by a facility or organization that will carry and implement the project. Cities and municipalities (OCMWs), hospitals and schools are not eligible.
- Your project must be realistic, with a clear and feasible budget. The project must also be started within 6 months after formal approval and completed within a maximum period of 2 years after the same approval.
- The total project budget is less than or equal to €50,000.
- Your project is not (yet) subsidized by the provincial, Flemish or federal government when you submit your application. Additional support or patronage by other funds, foundations or private donations is allowed.
