The County Durham Community Foundation (CDCF) is seeking nominations for its High Sheriff Youth Awards Scheme 2023.
The High Sheriff Youth Awards Scheme, managed by County Durham Community Foundation, makes annual awards in recognition of groups in the community who encourage useful and beneficial pursuits for local young people.
The scheme is supported by Sir James Knott Trust, Durham Police & Crime Commissioner’s Office, Durham Constabulary, UKSE and the current High Sheriff, Mrs. Shona Harper-Wilkes of Durham.
Themes
In 2023 the awards will focus on youth groups who work on two particular themes:
- Youth groups who work with people affected by mental health issues and young offenders to help turn their lives around;
- Youth groups who work with young people supporting them to be upstanding citizens and deterred from criminal activities.
Award Information
- Award Amount: up to £2,500
Eligibility Criteria
- Awards are made to voluntary and community groups and registered charities based and working in County Durham, Darlington, Hartlepool and Stockton.
