The Representative Office of the Republic of Lithuania in Palestine calls to submit applications for the implementation of the projects of the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Program in Palestine in 2023.
Project Aim: Promoting women’s economic empowerment in Palestine, developing women’s entrepreneurship/business skills and strengthening their economic independence.
Project Objectives
- Providing workshops on entrepreneurship/business and technical skills necessary for sustainable paid work (building capacities in networking, communication,digital entrepreneurship, development of social media skills etc.).
- To develop women’s professional skills, to acquaint them with the basics of self-business administration and access to information.
- To raise women’s self-esteem through building of networks with other women entrepreneurs/businesswomen, their organizations and integration into the business community.
Funding Information
- A total of 20,000 EUR will be allocated to this project concept in 2023.
- Foreseen duration of project implementation July 2023 – September 2023

Target groups: Palestinian women, especially unemployed
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must specify at least one partner in Palestine and add the partner’s consent to cooperate on project implementation. A partner in Palestine is not mandatory if the application for a project is being submitted by an entity registered in Palestine or by an international organization.
- Legal entities and natural persons, other organizations and their subsidiaries of the Republic of Lithuania and Palestine are invited to submit signed and scanned project applications and project estimates in Lithuanian or English, according to the established forms ( Project Application Form and Project Application Estimate Form) , together with the required and, if available, additional attachments.
- Financing will be provided for the projects that are in line with the Inter-Institutional Action Plan on Development Cooperation guidelines, adopted by Resolution No. 937 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania on September 21, 2016 (Valid summary of Sep 19, 2018). Submitted applications for the projects must conform to the multilateral and/or bilateral strategic agreements between Palestine, EU and Lithuania, and/or national development strategies of Palestine.
