The City of Prijedor in partnership with the United Nations Development Program announces a public call for civil society organizations/non-governmental organizations to submit project proposals as part of the project regional program of local democracy in the western balkans (reload2).
The subject of the Public Call is to strengthen partnership relations between civil society organizations and LGUs by building awareness of the usefulness of mutual cooperation and encouraging sustainable dialogue, all with the aim of providing better services to the local community. The activity is carried out as part of the ReLOaD2 project, financed by the European Union (EU), and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in six countries of the region, namely: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia.
The general goal of this call is to further strengthen partnership relations between civil society organizations and LGUs by building awareness of the usefulness of mutual cooperation and encouraging sustainable dialogue, all with the aim of providing better services to the local community.
Thematic areas, such as social services for the most vulnerable, social inclusion, gender equality, environmental protection, human rights and similar are in the focus of the ReLOaD2 project.
Priorities
- This is an opportunity to invite all civil society organizations (CSOs) from Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit project proposals that are in line with the city’s development goals, which are listed in the document Integral Strategy of the City of Prijedor for the period 2014-2024. year , from the following priority areas:
- Culture
- Improving the quality and availability of cultural content for all categories of the population through the promotion of various forms of culture, art, cultural and artistic amateurism and volunteerism;
- Projects that contribute to the stimulation of cultural and creative creativity in the territory of the city of Prijedor;
- Sport
- Improving the quality and availability of sports and recreational facilities for all categories of the population through the promotion and improvement of sports with an emphasis on the promotion of gender equality;
- Promotion of sports content for socially excluded categories of the population;
- Promotion, popularization and popularization of amateur sports;
- Support for young people
- Support for improving the position of young people through the organization of trainings/workshops aimed at their social and economic inclusion;
- Support for children and young people at risk of unwanted behavior, improvement of mental health of children and young people (counseling, psychosocial assistance, influence of social networks on young people, prevention of addiction of children and young people, etc.);
- Improvement of healthy lifestyles and activities for quality leisure time;
- Social protection and inclusion
- Providing assistance to the elderly and infirm by creating conditions for a better quality of life for the elderly;
- Support for projects that aim to sensitize the public about violence (physical, psychological, virtual/cyber), trauma and their consequences on the population with the aim of creating adequate support and prevention;
- Projects that contribute to improving the quality of life and support for persons with developmental disabilities, providing support for persons with developmental disabilities through the introduction of new technologies, methods and ways of working;
- Help and support for children and youth in risky behavior;
- Projects that contribute to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities through customized informal education;
- Projects that raise awareness of consumer rights and opportunities and counseling in the field of legal assistance;
- Ecology and environmental protection
- Projects that promote environmental protection, environmental protection and waste management;
- Projects that solve the problem of illegal landfills and raise awareness of the importance of municipal waste collection;
- Support for projects that raise awareness and sensitize the public about climate change and natural disasters.

Funding Information
- The value of project proposals to be awarded under this call must be between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- minimum amount: 10,000.00 KM
- maximum amount: 50,000.00 KM
- Duration: The duration of projects can be from 6 (six) to 9 (nine) months, in the period from June 2023 to February 2024.
Location: Projects must be implemented exclusively in the area of the city of Prijedor and for the residents of Prijedor. In exceptional cases, it is allowed to carry out certain activities on the territory of another LGU if there are objective reasons for this, which are stated in the project proposal.
Eligibility Criteria
- Participation in this public call is open, on an equal basis , to all formally registered CSOs (association/association or foundation), in accordance with the applicable legal regulations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- In order to apply for the public call, applicants must:
- be a formally registered CSO in accordance with applicable legal regulations (association/association or foundation);
- Potential applicants cannot participate in the call or receive grants if they do not submit a signed and scanned statement of eligibility (Annex 7) with the project proposal.
- This public call is not open to branches of foreign and international associations, foundations and other non-profit organizations registered and operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Applicants will be excluded from participation in the call or from the awarding of grants if, at the time of the call for submission of project proposals, they are:
- subjects of conflict of interest (eg employees of partner LGUs who at the same time hold executive or managerial roles in CSOs);
- provided false information or failed to provide necessary information;
- tried to obtain confidential information, influenced the evaluation committee or the authorized party for contracts during the evaluation process of the call for submission of project proposals.
