Deadline: 28-Jun-23
ELLAS invites groups, collectives and organizations from Latin America and the Caribbean to participate in the GENEROSAS 2023 Award, which seeks to recognize and give regional visibility to those who work to advance women’s rights and gender justice through the mobilization of local resources.
The GENEROSAS 2023 Award is also an opportunity to celebrate that dedication, that talent and that commitment to grassroots activism that has succeeded in advancing the regional agenda on rights and justice.
What is the Prize?
- The 2023 Generosas Award is more than an award: it is public recognition of organizations and activists, in order to give them visibility and generate support for their work; it is also the possibility of articulating with similar initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- For each of the three categories, five finalists will be selected (fifteen in total). From this group, the three winners will emerge (one for each category).
- For the three winners, the recognition consists of:
- An economic support of USD $500 to support the work of each of the three winning organizations.
- The participation of a representative of the organization in the awards ceremony that will take place at an international conference in December 2023.
- For the finalists (fifteen organizations) the recognition consists of:
- The inclusion of the organization’s work in a chapter of an electronic book to be developed by ELLAS that will be widely disseminated.
- A scholarship for members of the organization to participate in the training course “Rights, women and philanthropy in Latin America and the Caribbean” to be held in the second semester of 2023.
- A diploma.
