UN Women is inviting applications to strengthen women’s organizations for social accountability over the public resources allocated to their needs and priorities, by creating a complementary investment fund to support to women’s organizations with proposals related to public management and public policies.
Objectives
- The objective of the Fund is to provide a stimulus to civil society through technical and financial support for projects formulated by women’s organizations, whose proposals are aligned with:
- One of the categories of the Gender Budget Tracker or
- Goals of the Territorial Development Plan regarding women’s rights and/or
- Public gender policy in the territories prioritized by the Alliance or
- National Public Policy on gender equality.
- The geographic targeting of the Fund is aimed at the departments of Antioquia and Meta, and the municipalities of Cumbal, Timbiquí, Villavicencio, Riohacha, Maicao, Santander de Quilichao, Cartagena and Santa Marta.
Funding Information
- Through this modality, the Fund will support initiatives with a duration of between 3 and 8 months with a budget of up to eighty million pesos ($80,000,000).
Targeting Geographic
- The Fund will only finance proposals aligned with the goals of the Territorial Development Plans of the following territories:
- Department of Antioch
- Department of Goal
- Cumbal
- Timbiqui
- Villavicencio
- Riohacha
- Santa Marta
- Maicao
- Santander de Quilichao
- Cartagena
- For effects of the present announcement, only they will be eligible initiatives that focus their intervention in the aforementioned territorial entities. The financing of the proposals to be implemented in the prioritized departments and municipalities and the administrative link with partner organizations will lead to cape he Background to through of UN Women.
Eligibility Criteria
- For Organizations that apply to the modality of Financing Programmatic (maximum $ 80,000,000 COP)
- Be an organization registered in Colombia, no governmental and without cheer up of profit.
- Be constituted legally does to the less three (3) years. It will be positively valued that the organizations are from the prioritized territory to which they apply or, failing that, that they demonstrate the completion of at least two (2) previous projects in the territory.
- Be a managed organization led by women. If not, they must be presented in alliance with formal or informal women’s organizational processes, as long as it is demonstrated that there is a natural alliance of joint work prior to the call with at least two (2) women’s organizational processes.
- Have an organizational objective focused on the promotion and strengthening of the rights of women in their diversity.
- To have implemented to the minus two (2) Projects related with his social object either that to the less 3 of their associated I members I employees count with to the less twelve (12) months of experience in the execution of Projects.
- It former has to be demonstrable to through of certificates either documents equivalents as reports finals, proceedings of closing, etc.
- The Fund will finance proposals from organizations integrated and led by women, whose social purpose and expertise is aligned with women’s rights, empowerment, public management and gender focus.
- Organizations that are not directed, led and/or focused on women’s rights women, may appear in alliance with processes organizational formal either informal of women, always and when it is demonstrated that there is a natural alliance of joint work prior to the call with the less two (2) processes organizational of women.
