PPIAF has launched its 2018 Call for Global Knowledge Proposals that will consider global knowledge products that provide lessons learned or best practices that can be applied across countries and across regions.
Proposals will be accepted for:
- Knowledge Products (e.g., toolkits, guides, manuals, briefs, training seminars and workshops, development of training materials, capacity building)
- Outreach (translation, dissemination, conferences)
Activities
- Best practices to improve national and/or local governments’ capacity, particularly in low-income and fragile countries, to address sustainability issues in infrastructure through private sector participation.
- Innovative financing of infrastructure within the Maximizing Finance for Development agenda, at national and subnational levels.
- Activities that produce learning on what works and what does not when integrating gender considerations, including prevention and response to gender based violence, in PPP frameworks and/or to promote female entrepreneurs’ participation in the supply chain of infrastructure PPPs.
- Case studies or best practices on incorporating a pro-poor dimension in the design/construction/monitoring of infrastructure projects with private sector participation.

Eligibility Criteria
- The call is open to staff at the World Bank Group and other multilateral development banks, donor organizations, non-profit organizations, and academia
- PPIAF’s priority countries are low-income countries (DAC I and DAC II on the OECD DAC list) and fragile and conflict-affected states.
- Please note, country-specific proposals are not accepted under the Call for Global Knowledge Proposals. PPIAF encourages proposals to indicate how the proposed knowledge product will apply knowledge to priority countries and fragile and conflict affected states.
