Nominations are open for Knight International Journalism Awards 2019 to recognize excellent reporting that makes a difference in the lives of people around the world.
The program is supported by John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
ICFJ works at the nexus of journalism and technology, building the expertise and storytelling skills of reporters worldwide. Through their work, journalists are enhancing news coverage and connecting more deeply with their audiences. As a result, they are increasing the flows of reliable, trustworthy news – a cornerstone of healthy democracies. They believe that better journalism leads to better lives.

Award winners receive a trip to the United States, where they will be honored at ICFJ’s Awards Dinner on November 7, 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
- ICFJ is now seeking nominees whose pioneering coverage or media innovations have a significant impact on the lives of people around the world.
- Candidates can be reporters, editors, technologists, media managers, citizen journalists or bloggers.
