The British High Commission in Malta is inviting the submission of concept notes for projects under its International Programme Fund (IPF) for the financial year 2024 to 2025.
The IPF is designed to support programme activity aligning with the UK government’s foreign policy objectives in Malta.
They are seeking innovative project proposals with concrete objectives and measurable policy outcomes. The project themes should be related to the following areas:
- Promote the UK and their values
- Promote the rule of law, strengthen legal and judicial systems, share best practice.
- Reduce illegal migration and address issues related to migration.
- Promote freedom of the press and protect journalistic integrity.
- Equality and empowerment for women and girls.
- Building economic, environment and climate partnerships
- Create opportunities for businesses in both the UK and Malta to collaborate and thrive.
- Protect the environment and help address climate change, including projects that reduce carbon emissions or increase the use of renewable energy.
Funding Information
- Funding for individual projects is expected to be between £5,000 and £10,000 (approximately 5,700 to 11,400 Euros). They will consider projects that deliver exceptional impact or value for money outside of this cost range.
Eligibility Criteria
- They invite civil society organisations, academic institutions, non-profit organisations, and multilateral organisations to submit their concept notes. Applicants need to demonstrate that they have previously managed project funds effectively.
- Project activities should be completed by December 2025 to allow time for evaluation. They are not able to fund the purchase of equipment, advertising, academic courses, charitable activities, commercial activities, infrastructure, or construction.
