The Redwood Connect Grants Program is designed to foster equitable access to parks, meaningful and community-driven connections with nature, and a deeper understanding of the many different attributes and benefits of the redwood forest.
The primary goal for the League is to provide engaging park experiences for youth, their c so they experience the wonder of these remarkable forests.
Funding Information
- All Redwood Connect Grant awards are $6,000.
Eligible Projects
- The League seeks Redwood Connect Grant proposals for projects that:
- Deliver an inspiring firsthand experience in the redwoods, defined by community interests and needs.
- Directly serve youth ages pre-K – 21 who may not otherwise have the opportunity to visit the redwoods.
- Engage low-income youth, young people of color, and indigenous communities that often face barriers to outdoor access.
- Projects must be completed by the end of summer 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
- They only accept applications from nonprofit organizations (including public agencies and schools) as described in 26 USC Section 170(b) (1) (A).
- Individuals are not eligible to apply.
- Once your application has been approved you will be asked to provide proof of non-profit status.
