The One Community is working in partnership with Big Local, administered by Local Trust for the National Lottery Community Fund to establish the Dewsbury Moor Fund to address key community priorities, with a focus on supporting youth provision, alleviating the cost-of-living crisis, and promoting access and engagement with green spaces and the environment.
Funding Focus Areas
- Youth Provision aged 11-21
- Projects and programs that enhance youth services, providing meaningful activities and opportunities for personal development.
- Initiatives promoting positive engagement, skill-building, and mentorship for young individuals.
- Cost of Living Crisis
- Support for projects addressing the challenges posed by the current cost of living crisis within the Dewsbury Moor community.
- Initiatives focusing on affordability, financial education, and assistance to mitigate economic hardships.
- Access and Engagement with Green Spaces and Environment
- Projects enhancing accessibility to and utilisation of green spaces within the Dewsbury Moor area.
- Initiatives fostering environmental education, sustainability, and community engagement with nature.
Funding Information
Grant Categories:
- Category A – Grants between £500 and £5,000:
- Suitable for smaller-scale projects and community initiatives.
- Applications should demonstrate a clear impact on the identified focus areas.
- Detailed budget breakdown and timeline required.
- Category B – Grants between £5,000 and £10,000:
- Designed for larger-scale projects with significant community impact.
- Rigorous evaluation criteria, emphasising impact, local knowledge, and scalability.
- Comprehensive project plans, including budget, timeline, and measurable outcomes, are essential. Support is available for all projects wishing to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the Dewsbury Moor Fund, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Non-profit organisations, community groups with a constitution, and local initiatives operating within the Dewsbury Moor area.
- Demonstrated commitment to addressing youth provision, the cost-of-living crisis, or promoting access and engagement with green spaces and the environment.
- Clear project objectives aligning with the specified funding categories.
- Bank account in the name of the organisation, and at least 2 unrelated signatories.
- The applicants need to provide a bank statement in the name or their organisation.
- Three unrelated trustees or directors.
