The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched the call for applications for the Improvement of Tourist Accommodation Capacities and Services along the Paths and Locations Program.
Objectives and Priority Areas
- The specific objectives of this Public Call are to support the development of accommodation infrastructure and to support the improvement of tourism services in the field of sustainable tourism and green and circular economy along the trails and sites on the Via Dinarica in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Through the realization of these goals, support will be provided to the improvement of the tourist offer by placing emphasis on the introduction of green practices and standards in tourist accommodation infrastructure facilities such as boarding houses, bed and breakfast facilities and mountain lodges (e.g. protection of natural resources, resource and energy efficiency, transition to renewable energy resources, etc.) and support to the expansion of the existing or the creation of a new sustainable and modern tourist offer in the field of sustainable tourism in the Republic of Serbia. Nature-based history/culture/adventure experience along the trails and sites on Via Dinarica, including the use of technology, augmented reality, light and sound integration of cultural and artistic content and the like, in order to make the tourist offer more attractive and interactive.
- Priority Areas
- Priority area 1: Improvement of accommodation infrastructure along the trails and sites on the Via Dinarica.
- Priority area 2: Improving a diverse and sustainable tourist offer along the trails and sites on the Via Dinarica.
Funding Information
- The total available financial resources under this public call amount to 525,000.00 BAM.
- Out of the total available financial resources under this Public Call, the available funds by priority areas are as follows:
- for priority area 1 – the total available financial resources amount to 105,000.00 BAM to support the 5 best ranked project proposals
- for priority area 2 – the total available financial resources amount to 420,000.00 BAM to support the 20 best-ranked project proposals
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicants who are eligible to apply for this call for Priority Area 1 are:
- Private companies and crafts registered for accommodation rental services;
- Natural persons registered for the provision of accommodation services in the competent service of the local self-government unit or the Agency for Intermediate, IT and Financial Services (APIF) such as providers of tourist services, family farms (OPG), rural households of accommodation type and the like;
- Associations, organizations, clubs and mountaineering societies that manage mountaineering facilities (mountain lodges, mountain lodges, shelters, etc.);
- Public institutions that manage protected areas of nature and accommodation facilities within them.
- The applicants who are eligible to apply for this call for Priority Area 2 are:
- Private companies and crafts registered and/or active in the field of tourism (tour operators, travel agencies, accommodation and catering facilities, etc.);
- Tourist organizations/communities;
- Natural persons registered for the provision of accommodation services in the competent service of the local self-government unit or the Agency for Intermediary, IT and Financial Services (APIF), such as providers of tourist services, agritourism and the like;
- Associations, organizations, clubs and sports societies in the field of tourism;
- Public institutions that manage protected areas of nature and accommodation facilities within them.
