UNDP seeking Proposals to support Capacity Building of IGA Youth Groups in Central African Republic

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for tenders relating to the selection of NGOs/partners for the Joint Youth program within the framework of the execution of the following project “Support for strengthening the capacities of IGA groups of young people in Bangui, Bossangoa and Bouar”.

Objectives

General objectives
- Reduce youth unemployment (men and women) and violence often born out of frustrations due to theirexclusion from the labor market, and increase their participation in community recovery and stabilization.
Specific objectives:
- In terms of socioeconomic reintegration:
  - Provide technical supervision for young beneficiaries and facilitate their training in the trades carriers;
  - Provide information, advice and guidance in relation to the activities ofawareness raising on peace, social cohesion and opportunities for social reintegration economic; vs. Ensure the structuring around the microprojects of the beneficiaries in association and / or group;
  - Create the culture of savings among participants and make them understand the benefits of creation association or AGRs;
  - Ensure the endowment of groups formed in IGA kits;
  - Ensure the follow-up of the groups and draw the lessons learned and the good lessons for the sustainability of the action.

Expected Results

Young men and women have increased skills in entrepreneurship and tradescarriers in their communitiesat.

Ensure the creation, formalization and support of associative groups;
Provide vocational training for young people and / or their incubation; vs. Set up a support system for the development of savings and a solidarity in the form of VSLA;
Provide youth groups with IGA strengthening kits;
Monitor the activities of groups with a view to their sustainabilit

Duration: 4-5 months, start as early as possible

Proposals should be formulated through the submission of a concept note which shouldcontain at least the following parts:

Practical information (including name of the NGO, address, name of the person in charge, telephone, and summary information of the project, etc.
Context analysis (one paragraph)
Description of the project (one paragraph)
The proposed approach / strategy, including project activities (one paragraph)
Management arrangement (one paragraph)
Complementary project(s): current or recent activities that complement or frame with the proposed project
The experience of the organization: description of the capacity of the organization to implement the project including information on experiences of AGR projects, etc. (include a list of similar projects carried out in the past and indicate the partners / donors / amounts)
