The Oake Sunshine Fund has been set up as a result of the New Rendy Solar Farm development and will provide grants of up to £2,000 that benefit residents of the parish of Oake, including the hamlets of Heath field, Hill common, Hillfarrance, and Oake. All grants are made in consultation with Oake Parish Council.
Funding Information
Grants are expected to an average of £1,000 and can be made to community and voluntary organizations, registered charities, and social enterprises.
Exclusions
The fund is deliberately broad in scope; there are a number of exclusions:
- Individuals
- Promotion of religion (although projects that benefit the community organized by faith-based organizations are eligible.)
- Animal welfare (although projects that use animals to provide benefit to local residents are eligible)
- Activities that are a statutory responsibility or are otherwise not charitable
- Commercial organizations.
