Deadline: 21-Jul-25
An international humanitarian agency has launched a call for expressions of interest from qualified partners to help deliver a wide-ranging protection and assistance programme for displaced and stateless people in Lebanon.
The initiative seeks organizations that can strengthen community resilience by providing training, capacity building and health-system support; oversee the distribution and storage of relief supplies; and deliver legal aid, child-protection services, birth-registration support, gender-based-violence prevention, and other critical protection measures.
Shelter specialists are also needed to plan sites, rebuild damaged homes and supply essential non-food items.
Operations will focus on Lebanon’s main governorates—including Liban-Nord, Aakkar, Nabatiye, Liban-Sud, Baalbek-Hermel and the Beqaa—where vulnerability among refugees and host communities continues to rise.
The current four-year strategy running through 2026 emphasizes safeguarding basic rights, ensuring a dignified stay, enhancing social cohesion and facilitating pathways to third-country solutions or voluntary, safe returns.
Prospective partners must therefore demonstrate strong technical capacity, proven project-management systems, sound financial oversight, and the ability to coordinate effectively with local authorities and other humanitarian actors.
Alongside sector expertise, applicants are expected to show cost-effective use of resources, inclusive community engagement, and robust feedback and complaints mechanisms—particularly on protection from sexual exploitation and abuse.
A track record of positive collaboration with humanitarian coordination forums in Lebanon will strengthen an organization’s chances of selection. Interested entities should prepare detailed expressions of interest outlining their relevant experience, available technical staff, logistical assets, and accountability frameworks.
