Deadline: 31-Aug-2025
The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union invites media organizations and independent producers to participate in the second edition of the Together for Planet, People, Peace (T4P) Media Awards. These awards aim to honor powerful media stories and initiatives that inspire sustainable living, social justice, inclusion, and peace.
The T4P Media Awards recognize content that uplifts and motivates audiences by fostering environmental awareness, empathy, and community resilience. They encourage storytelling that supports meaningful social progress and sustainable development.
The awards focus on three core areas. “Planet” covers stories promoting ethical, sustainable relationships between humanity and nature. “People” highlights content that fosters compassion, justice, and inclusion while tackling issues like discrimination and social injustice. “Peace” features programmes that support conflict resolution, dialogue, and reconciliation to build peaceful societies.
The awards are linked with the Media and Information Literacy (MIL) initiative, providing increased awareness, capacity building, and recognition for outstanding media work. They aim to amplify the reach of MIL efforts and encourage innovation in the media industry while promoting empowered and informed communities.
There are separate categories for T4P Audio Awards, T4P Video Awards, and a T4P Special Award for cross-platform digital initiatives. Each category will award one winner and one runner-up in each focus area, except the Special Award which will have only one winner. The jury may withhold awards if entries do not meet the required standards.
The competition is open globally to media organizations, production houses, and independent producers. All entries must have been broadcast between April 15, 2023, and April 15, 2025. Content must be free from political or commercial promotion. Submissions are limited to one entry per focus area in radio and TV categories, and one entry for the Special Award.
Audio entries must be in mp3 format with an English script, while video entries must include English subtitles or voiceover. Special Award entries must also have English translations or descriptions. Audio content should be 10–60 minutes long, and video content 15–60 minutes. Special Award entries can be a series, but the sample must not exceed 60 minutes.
Entries must be submitted along with the official T4P Media Awards entry form. Judging will be conducted by an independent jury, each member scoring entries individually from 1 to 10. No jury member may evaluate content from their own organization, and each must submit a report for final deliberation by the Chairperson.
