Deadline: 31-Dec-2025
BenueAID is now accepting applications for its Discretionary Grant to support innovative and impactful humanitarian interventions in Benue State. This opportunity is open to nonprofits with creative ideas or programs that address urgent community needs.
The Discretionary Grants are designed to provide swift relief to citizens affected by humanitarian emergencies. These funds help meet immediate needs and can also support other interventions approved by BenueAID’s Board of Directors.
The main purpose of the grant is to ensure timely responses to critical needs that arise outside of regular funding cycles, especially between board meetings or outside the annual call for concept notes.
BenueAID prioritizes projects that focus on good health and well-being, governance and social development, media for development, criminal justice, education and skills training, environmental sustainability, gender equality, humanitarian aid, and capacity building.
To qualify, projects must align with at least one of these focus areas. They should address a specific issue, offer clear solutions, identify beneficiaries, and deliver short-term, measurable results with direct community impact. Each project must also have a budget of less than $3,000.
Eligible applicants must be not-for-profit organizations registered and operating in Nigeria for at least two years. They must also have proven experience in one or more of the priority areas and agree to follow BenueAID’s internal review process.
