Deadline: 22-Jul-2025
UN Women is inviting proposals from responsible parties to implement a curriculum that promotes digital inclusion and access to rights. This initiative is part of Output 1.2.1 of UN Women Brazil’s Strategic Note 2024–2027. The goal is to ensure that women, particularly those facing multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination, can better claim their rights and access services, resources, and strategies tailored to their digital inclusion needs.
The organization approaches this work through integrated strategies that address root causes of inequality with a focus on systemic transformation and peacebuilding. Their priorities include amplifying women’s voices and leadership, strengthening gender-responsive laws and policies, ensuring equitable access to resources, and promoting positive social norms, including engaging men and boys.
Other focus areas include women’s participation in peacebuilding and humanitarian efforts, gender-based financing and economic empowerment, the use of gender statistics and sex-disaggregated data, and coordination within the UN system to support gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The funding available for this call ranges between BRL 50,000.00 and BRL 80,000.00 per territory covered in the proposal. Each submission must include activities in at least two territories.
Applicants must have experience in mobilizing socioeconomically vulnerable populations for both online and in-person activities related to human rights. Experience in at least two of the ten target cities for implementation is required. Joint applications with local organizations are allowed, but the lead applicant will be responsible for full project delivery.
A fixed physical address is required for conducting in-person activities. Proposals must also include a budget with a designated Coordinator who will act as the main liaison with UN Women. Applicants must operate in areas covered by the Claro network.
It is also desirable for applicants to have experience in education, training, or capacity building with vulnerable communities, experience with gender equality initiatives, and prior work in digital literacy. Previous partnerships with UN Women or other UN agencies will be considered an asset.
