Deadline: 21-Jul-2025
Are you a creative innovator or trail-blazing organisation working with children and young people? Do you have a spark of an idea and need support to bring it to life? The Innovate Grant Programme could be just what you need.
This grant is designed to support emerging practitioners and smaller organisations who want to develop new ideas and approaches to working with children and young people through music. It offers a chance to kick-start or incubate project ideas, providing space to take risks and try groundbreaking work.
The programme encourages testing new ways of working, offering innovative activities to young people who might not usually have access. It also values honest reflection on the process, helping create new learning and best practice models to share across the music sector and beyond.
Grants of up to £2,000 are available to individuals and organisations with an annual turnover of less than £150,000. Alongside funding, grantees receive mentoring support from Sound Connections staff or associates through one-on-one conversations.
Successful applicants also get free tickets to Sound Connections’ training and networking events from September 2024 to August 2025. These events will cover important topics like Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Youth Voice, Social Justice, and Early Years Music.
The programme is particularly keen to hear from individuals and small organisations with an annual turnover under £100,000, especially those working at a grassroots level. If you’re ready to innovate and inspire young people through music, this grant is an excellent opportunity to explore your ideas.
