The Power of Alumni: From Exchange to Action Program aims to strengthen the United States by empowering the U.S. Department of State’s exchange alumni community in El Salvador. This group includes both established and emerging leaders who are committed to supporting U.S. policy goals through continued engagement and action.
The program also contributes to regional security by collaborating with Salvadoran entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policymakers. These partnerships are designed to foster sustainable economic growth and job creation, ultimately reducing the influence of criminal networks in the area.
A total of $50,000 in funding is available for this initiative. Individual awards will range from a minimum of $30,000 to a maximum of $50,000.
Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations that do not have 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, excluding institutions of higher education.
