The Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture is pleased to announce its Laçzos Artísticos International Mobility Program to support internationalization in the Ibero-American region and in the countries of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP).
This program aims to promote and enhance artistic exchange, while also highlighting the importance of supporting internationalization.
Objectives
- Promoting the circulation of artistic projects registered by citizens of Latin America and countries where Portuguese is their official language in these regional spaces.
- The DGARTES-OEI grant aims to develop new artistic languages, territories, knowledge, and artistic and technical skills. It will also be a vehicle for knowledge exchange, audience development, the launch of artists and works, and the creation and development of lasting networks, both in the destination country(ies) and in the country of residence.
Funding Information
- The program will have a total annual value of €25,000.00 and will consist of 11 scholarships, each worth €2,250, intended to contribute to the artistic and professional development of the beneficiaries.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications are individual.
- Individuals over 18 years of age, residents or nationals of an OEI member country and/or a CPLP member country who carry out predominantly professional activities or are associated with professional artistic entities, may apply for this program in order to deepen their skills, knowledge, and artistic development.
- The artistic activity presented must be predominantly in the areas of:
- Visual arts (architecture, plastic arts, design, photography and new media);
- Performing arts (circus, dance, music, opera and theatre);
- Street arts;
- Interdisciplinarity.
- Applications will not be accepted for projects to be carried out in the candidate’s own country of residence.
Assessment Criteria
- The evaluation of the applications will be carried out in two phases:
- Phase 1: Evaluation of the candidacy’s eligibility, in accordance with the call for applications, regulations, and required documentation. This phase, conducted by the OEI, is eliminatory in nature, and consists of analyzing the candidate’s compliance with the requirements.
- Phase 2: Evaluation of eligible applications by the Evaluation Committee, composed of: a member of the DGARTES; a member of the OEI; and an external member with proven experience in the field of internationalization.
- The projects will be evaluated by assigning a score from 1 to 5, with 1 being very poor and 5 being very good, according to the following criteria:
- Relevance of the proposal in relation to the theme and objectives of the Program
- Demonstrated competencies of candidates to carry out the proposed activities
- Applicability of the project to a context of mobility and promotion of internationalization
- Innovative and creative nature of the submitted project
Application Requirements
- The documentation below must be sent in PDF format to the following address:
- Brief justification of the scholarship application;
- Visual arts (architecture, fine arts, design, photography and new media);
- Evaluation of applications: from September 1 to 30 of each calendar year;
- CV or biographical note of the candidate;
- Disciplinary cross.
- Confirmation of grant award and transfer – from 21st to 31st.
- Street art;
- Submission of documentation: from October 11 to 21 of each calendar year;
- Presentation of a clear and structured project, including information such as objectives, areas of activity, motivation for undertaking the mobility, justification for the mobility, destination (city, country and institution), reason for choosing the institution, relationship with projects in your area of activity, activity/action to be carried out, planned work schedule and expected results after completing the residency (maximum 5 pages);
- Proof of intent to establish a partnership, such as an invitation organization(s) responsible person(s) of coward) of the project presentation may not be modified;
- Presentation/festival/show/residency/biennial, the destination institution proposed in the project presentation may not be modified;
- Declaration, under oath, of the guarantee of means of subsistence during the stay in the countries where the artistic projects will be developed.
