American Girl’s Fund for Children is pleased to announce $499,150 in grant awards to support children’s programming in Dane County. It is a catalyst for connecting cultural arts and environmental resources with their area children.
Since 1988, the Fund has awarded more than $11 million in grants to numerous Dane County organizations.
Funding is made possible through the Madison Children’s Museum Annual American Girl Benefit Sale of overstock and returned American Girl merchandise. To date, the children’s museum has received more than $13 million in sale proceeds, with the remaining portion returned to the Fund and then re-distributed back into the community to area nonprofits that provide arts, culture, and environmental programs for youth.

- Due to limited funds, application requests should be for $10,000.
Projects
They are interested in for 2020 projects will:
- Enable agencies to interact with and provide arts and environmental services to children in 2020.
- Serve children in Dane County.
They do not provide support for the following
- Annual operations
- Endowments, individuals or scholarships
- Travel funds, benefit tickets, or courtesy advertising
- Organizations that might in any way pose a conflict with the Fund’s goals, programs, products or employees
- Health and human services programs
- Capital projects or equipment

- Is your agency operational despite the ongoing pandemic? Do you still have the capability of interacting with children this calendar year?
- What can you do with $10k to further your direct engagement and outreach with children (face-to-face or online), specifically in the areas of arts and environmental education?
