Deadline: 15-Aug-2025
The Administration for Community Living is inviting applications for the “Expanding Strategies for Community Evidence-Based Falls Prevention Programming” initiative. This funding opportunity aims to support innovative strategies and targeted partnerships to help reduce falls and fall-related risks among older adults aged 60 and above, especially those with the greatest economic and social needs, as well as adults with disabilities.
Selected applicants will be expected to implement evidence-based falls prevention programs using a person-centered approach. These programs must also include outcome measurement and impact evaluation. Awardees should develop resources and share lessons learned so that effective models can be replicated statewide.
Projects are expected to develop innovative falls prevention methods. Each project should be evaluated to determine its effectiveness in reducing falls or falls risk, and the results must be published in a Section 508-compliant format so they are accessible and widely usable.
The total estimated funding for this opportunity is $2,500,000. Each project will receive a fixed award amount of $1,250,000 for the project period.
Eligibility is open to a wide range of U.S.-based public and private non-profit entities. This includes state and local governments, federally and non-federally recognized tribal organizations, housing authorities, educational institutions, school districts, faith-based organizations, and community groups. Organizations must be either 501(c)(3) or other qualified nonprofit entities under IRS guidelines.
