Deadline: 25-Aug-2025
UNDP is inviting national and international CSOs/NGOs to express interest in partnering on development projects focused on Climate Resilience, Biodiversity, and Sustainable Energy. This includes expertise in climate resilience planning, community-based adaptation, disaster risk reduction, nature-based solutions, renewable energy, sustainable fisheries, marine conservation, reforestation, waste management, biodiversity protection, climate-smart agriculture, and women and youth leadership in climate action. Organizations with experience in nature-based financing, carbon markets, and circular economy initiatives are also encouraged to respond.
Interested organizations must complete a detailed questionnaire and provide supporting documentation, including proof of legal status, registration to operate in Libya, and evidence of a bank account. International NGOs must also provide permits and licenses for local operations. Information on certification or accreditation in leadership, project management, financial management, and organizational standards should be included.
Applicants must disclose whether they are listed on any UN or government sanctions list, banned by any institution, or indicted by an international or national court. They must also provide background information, including their date of establishment, evolution, donor partnerships, affiliations, and geographic reach. The mandate, vision, primary advocacy areas, and specific programs for women’s rights or inclusion must be outlined.
Organizations should detail their areas of expertise, particularly in relation to the requested themes, and provide examples of projects with measurable results, especially those advancing women’s empowerment. Financial information is required, including audited statements for the last two years, current and projected resources, and budget allocation for women-specific initiatives.
Applicants must also demonstrate public transparency by listing available documents and how they can be accessed. Information on consortium experience, alliances with other organizations, and the ability to manage multi-partner initiatives should be provided. Only organizations whose information meets UNDP programme needs will proceed to a capacity assessment, which may result in placement on a roster for rapid engagement when required.
