Deadline: 15-Sep-2025
Applicants are now invited to submit applications for its Global Summit and International Nursing Conference Student Grant to provide opportunities for eligible student nurses in the Philippines to participate in the 2026 Filipino Nurses Global Summit and International Nursing Conference.
The grant is offered to students of reputable Schools of Nursing, especially those with limited access to sources of funding. It will cover the registration fee for the conference, but the student is responsible for their airfare, transportation, and hotel accommodation. The eligibility criteria require an applicant to be currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at a reputable school or academic institution in the Philippines with a general weighted average (GWA) of 2.25 or better on a 5-point scale (1 as the highest). Any nursing student in their 3rd or 4th year may apply, and their annual family income must not be more than one million Philippine pesos. The applicant should also exhibit the potential to contribute to nursing and the community.
To apply, the applicant must submit several documents online. These include a True Copy of Grades indicating the GWA for all courses taken under the BSN program and an Income Tax Return of Parents for the year 2024 or verifiable documentation if income does not warrant filing of income tax. A curriculum vitae or resume that includes contact information, educational background, awards, involvement in school and community, and other relevant activities is also required. Furthermore, a 200-word essay articulating the value of attending the conference and scalable contributions to nursing and/or the community is mandatory, along with two letters of reference from faculty from the current academic institution.
The application for the grant is exclusively online through Google Forms, and only one submission per applicant will be accepted. The first application timestamped by Google Forms will be considered for review. The deadline for submissions is September 15, 2025 (Wednesday) at 11:59 pm Philippine time. The Selection Committee is not responsible for late submissions or issues with user error or technology. Only documents with clear texts or images will be reviewed. If selected, each recipient will receive a Letter of Congratulations from the Selection Committee Chair by October 1, 2025, and will be required to provide feedback on their experience at the end of the conference.
