The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grants Program provides artists and art workers with funding to help them undertake skills development and training that is relevant to their arts practice or professional practice as an arts or cultural worker.
The Professional Development SA grant offers up to $10,000 in funding for recipients to enhance their artistry, grow professionally, and strengthen their artistic practice.
This funding opportunity caters to a wide range of development needs, including mentoring, short courses, workshops, master classes, residencies, conferences, studio or equipment hire, touring, and the acquisition of materials. Travel, accommodation, and living allowances are also supported, ensuring recipients can fully engage in their chosen development path.
To be eligible, applicants must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and be professional artists or cultural workers residing in South Australia for at least six months each year. Arts organizations and Indigenous arts centers may also apply on behalf of individual artists, providing additional accessibility and institutional support.
