Deadline: 16-Sep-2025
The British Embassy Vientiane has launched a new call for project proposals, offering funding opportunities between £20,000 and £30,000.
All activities and expenditures under the program must be completed by 28 February 2026. The initiative is designed to support projects that contribute directly to sustainable development and improved livelihoods in Laos, focusing on carefully selected priority areas.
Projects must align with one of three thematic priorities. In the area of climate and nature, proposals should focus on sustainable use of natural resources, enhancing forest quality, and improving climate adaptation, particularly through nature-based solutions. In the health sector, projects are expected to strengthen women’s access to quality healthcare, including sexual and reproductive health and rights. In education and skills, initiatives should aim to improve education systems, particularly foundational learning, or support sustainable vocational skills development with a strong emphasis on girls and marginalized groups.
Applications falling outside these areas will not be considered. Funding is not available for academic courses, charitable donations, infrastructure, or construction projects. Individuals are not eligible to apply, and only organizations may submit proposals.
To begin the process, interested organizations are invited to provide a project summary of up to 200 words, along with an activity-based budget. Shortlisted applicants will then be asked to complete additional forms. This funding opportunity provides a chance for local organizations to contribute to impactful work that supports resilience, equity, and sustainable growth in Laos.
