Applications are now open for the McKinsey.org Forward Learning Program to equip individuals at different stages of their careers – from career starters to job changers – with practical skills to succeed in the future of work.
Variety of formats: digital courses, virtual-learning events, assignments, and reflection exercises. Dedicating about two hours a week over ten weeks. Gain the skills and tools to do the following: Turn business problems into opportunities by using structured and creative thinking. Communicate in a clear and impactful way that makes your audience take action. Be adaptable and build emotional awareness for working in a team or alone, especially in times of change. Build strong relationships and maintain your well-being at work. Develop your digital tool kit and plan to navigate the modern digital world.
Participants who join Forward will benefit from a practical, interactive learning journey that blends digital courses with virtual events and exercises. The program is designed to build workplace skills that can be applied immediately, from problem-solving and communication to adaptability and relationship management.
The program requires a commitment of around two hours per week over the course of ten weeks, making it accessible for professionals managing work and personal commitments. Upon completion, participants will earn a McKinsey.org Forward digital badge, a certificate of completion at the Core Skills level, and entry into a global network of lifelong learners.
Eligibility criteria require that applicants currently reside in the United States, have less than five years of total work experience, and have completed at least a high school education or equivalent. Work experience, including internships or apprenticeships, is considered, and applicants may be employed, self-employed, or between jobs. A good command of English is necessary as the program is conducted in English. Those in nonprofit or non-managerial roles may still be eligible even with more than five years of experience.
It is important to note that McKinsey is not an accredited educational institution, and participants of the program will not receive an accredited qualification or credential. However, the skills, recognition, and connections gained through Forward are designed to provide meaningful career support and growth opportunities. Application closes on 29 September 2025.
