Deadline: 30-Sep-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) has launched an opportunity in Sierra Leone to strengthen evidence-based planning and community development through targeted research and analysis.
Covering the Eastern, North Western, Northern, and Southern regions of the country, this initiative focuses on advancing monitoring and evaluation, research and data analysis, and training and capacity building across multiple sectors.
The programme is designed to generate actionable insights that can improve local governance and enhance the delivery of community benefits. By collecting and analysing data across diverse communities, the initiative aims to build a foundation of knowledge that will guide policy, programming, and investment decisions for years to come.
Successful partners will be expected to deliver a series of rigorous assessments over the life of the project. These will include SAPA baseline reports scheduled for November to December 2025, midline reports in October to November 2026, and endline reports in September to October 2027 for each project area. These evaluations will capture the evolving impacts of programmes and provide valuable feedback on progress.
In addition to these assessments, partners will produce conflict mapping reports and develop mitigation action plans to address potential local tensions. Validated datasets from household surveys and focus group discussions will form a key part of the deliverables, ensuring that findings are grounded in real community perspectives and experiences.
The work will culminate in clear, evidence-based recommendations for improving community benefits and the governance of programme areas. Through this initiative, WFP aims to empower communities and institutions in Sierra Leone with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to drive sustainable development and lasting social stability.
