The Youth Innovation Fund – Catalyst Youth Project is a small-grant initiative designed to support and sponsor youth-led and youth-serving organizations contributing to the fields of climate change and development.
The focus areas of this fund include climate change adaptation and mitigation, pollution and waste management, disaster risk reduction, renewable energy, loss and damage, climate change conflict, women and inclusion, activism, and policy advocacy. The fund aims to support innovative youth-led and youth-focused projects addressing climate change and environmental sustainability, strengthen the capacity of youth organizations to implement impactful initiatives, and promote solutions to improve the lives of climate-vulnerable communities in Bangladesh.
The grant offers BDT 5,00,000 annually per grantee, with up to five projects selected. Grantees will receive dedicated support from ICCCAD to identify organizational goals and collaborate on successful project implementation. Additionally, they will have opportunities to connect, network, and learn with other grantees through digital platforms and face-to-face convening.
Eligibility criteria require applicants to be youth-led or youth-focused organizations with leadership under 30 years old, registered with relevant government departments such as the Department of Youth Development, Ministry of Social Welfare, or Ministry of Women and Children Affairs. The organization must work in climate change, adaptation, and mitigation fields and operate as a non-profit or social enterprise. The fund excludes local offices of large NGOs, INGOs, governments, government agencies, schools, universities, for-profit businesses, political candidate support efforts, discriminatory organizations, and those involved in violent activities or criminal law violations.
Grantees must submit progress and financial reports after every installment, a final narrative and financial report upon project completion, and participate in capacity development sessions arranged by ICCCAD. Applicants must download the proposal and budget templates, prepare their submissions accordingly, and submit proposals by the extended deadline of 30 September 2025.
