Deadline: 14-Nov-2025
The One Young World has launched its NATO and the Future of Global Security and Peace Program focused on critical global security and peace challenges.
The Academy series will explore how collective efforts – combining strategic partnerships, innovation, and youth engagement – are essential to advancing global security outcomes and maintaining peace in an increasingly complex world.
NATO’s mission centres on safeguarding collective security and peace through the strength of the Alliance and its strategic partnerships. This academy series will focus on NATO’s evolving role in shaping global security, examining how the Alliance has responded to critical turning points in the geopolitical landscape and addressing today’s main security threats. The course will emphasize the vital role young leaders play in contributing to NATO’s mission and securing peace for future generations.
The Academy series offers participants the chance to gain expert guidance from NATO representatives and top security experts who will share insights into current and emerging challenges in global security and peace-building. This opportunity is designed to help participants make an impact by understanding how young leaders can contribute to collective security efforts and support NATO in adapting to new technologies and innovative solutions. A key benefit of this course is the ability to build professional credentials, as participants will receive a verified digital certificate from One Young World Academy upon completion, which can be showcased on social media and included in a CV to highlight expertise in global security issues.
The programme is structured into two sessions, each lasting 20–25 minutes. The first session, NATO’s Role in Global Security and Peace, examines how NATO continues to adapt its approach to complex challenges while staying committed to its core objective of maintaining global peace and security. The second session, The Role of Youth in the Future of Security and Peace, highlights the importance of young leaders in shaping solutions that align with NATO’s mission and contribute meaningfully to the future of global peace and security. Both sessions include short quizzes to reinforce participants’ understanding of the concepts.
The course is open to individuals aged 18–35 who are nationals or residents of a NATO Member or Partner country. The application deadline is 14 November 2025, providing young leaders the chance to step into a global dialogue on peace and security at a pivotal time.
