Deadline: 15-Oct-2025
The Art Omi Music Program invites 12–15 musicians, composers, and sound-makers of all kinds from around the globe to come together for two and a half weeks in August for a uniquely collaborative music-making residency.
Art Omi: Music has no application or participation fee, though travel costs are not covered. The residency offers musicians a supportive environment to share, create, and collaborate across genres.
Applications are open to individuals only, ensuring that the program highlights diverse creative voices. Alumni are not eligible to reapply, making space for first-time fellows to access the opportunity. While participation in the program is free, fellows are responsible for their own travel arrangements. Ensembles and Alumni of past residencies are ineligible.
Applicants must submit one audio or video work sample of up to 4 minutes, which may include up to three excerpts created within the last five years. Details such as year of creation, role (composer, performer, or both), instruments/performers, and whether the work is improvised, composed, combined, or digitally produced must be provided. Longer samples or more than three excerpts will not be considered. Applicants must also include a short bio (100 words or fewer) and a brief statement on why they wish to attend. Additional information such as country of origin, instruments to be used during the residency, and primary musical role is also required.
Late applications will not be accepted. The application deadline for Art Omi: Music is Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST. Decision notifications will be announced in December 2025, and the residency will take place from Thursday, August 13 to Monday, August 31, 2026.
