Deadline: 15-Nov-2025
The Beyond Future Art Prize celebrates artists who explore the intersection of traditional media and AI to imagine responsible and hopeful futures.
Consider how AI influences their connection with nature, examine the ethical implications of automation, imagine inclusive and sustainable futures, and explore new forms of creativity in a digital age.
Rooted in the belief that art is a powerful force for transformation, the prize champions creativity that inspires change, sparks dialogue, and reimagines sustainable futures. The prize has grown into an international platform that celebrates emerging and established artists working at the intersection of art, society, and innovation. Each year, the prize spotlights a new global theme — from sustainability and identity to empowerment and digital transformation — and invites artists to respond through their unique mediums and perspectives.
The mission of the Beyond Future Art Prize is to amplify underrepresented voices, promote ethical and inclusive artistic practices, and bridge tradition with innovation. The prize empowers artists to envision and shape the world beyond tomorrow. This year’s theme, Thrive Together, celebrates artists rooted in traditional media—painting, drawing, printmaking, analog photography, or hand-crafted techniques—who are now beginning to explore AI as a creative partner. The aim is not to replace the artistic hand but to expand vision and possibilities.
Winners will receive cash prizes, trophies, and certificates. The grand winner will receive HK$10,000, a trophy, and a physical certificate, followed by HK$6,000 and HK$4,000 for the first and second runners-up, respectively. The top 20 finalists will receive a digital certificate.
Artists are encouraged to use AI intentionally, critically, and creatively, whether it serves as a tool, a muse, or a mirror. Through this theme, the prize seeks to spotlight traditional artists exploring AI, encourage thoughtful use of AI for artistic growth, and champion sustainability in both environmental and cultural dimensions. It emphasizes human-centered creativity that engages with AI to explore what it means to create, live, and thrive in an age of transformation.
The competition is open to artists around the world aged 15 or above working primarily in traditional media who are beginning to integrate AI into their creative process. Submissions should demonstrate originality, conceptual depth, and technical skill while exploring the intersection of AI, sustainability, nature, and humanity. Artwork created entirely by AI with minimal human involvement is not eligible.
