The Broken Hill Community Assistance Grants provide valuable support to registered not-for-profit community organisations.
All grants, whether in cash or in-kind support, are capped at $5,000, helping provide equitable distribution across the community.
Recent updates to the grants policy have expanded access to ensure more local organisations can benefit from this funding.
Priority will now be given to groups that did not receive a grant in the previous financial year, while annual applicants will only be considered after biennial applications are assessed, with the exception of In One Accord, which may continue to apply annually for the Carols by Candlelight event.
Additionally, community organisations that receive regular government funding are no longer eligible to apply, ensuring resources reach groups with fewer alternative funding sources.
