Deadline: 31-Dec-2025
The Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) Direct Support Stream is accepting concept notes from eligible applicants in countries with active peace processes.
This opportunity is open to those working at both national and sub-national levels in contexts where formal peace negotiations or implementation efforts are underway. The funding supports activities aligned with peace processes classified under Track 1, Track 2, or peace agreement implementation.
Track 1 refers to high-level peace efforts led by governments, international bodies, or the United Nations. These typically include ceasefires, national dialogues, political transitions, peace treaty negotiations, and constitutional processes. Track 2 involves informal efforts by influential actors aiming to support or complement the official process. These may include community engagement, awareness building, and activities that create trust and understanding between stakeholders and peace actors.
The funding also supports projects involved in the implementation of peace agreements. This includes monitoring the commitments made, facilitating truth and reconciliation efforts, reporting on progress, and holding authorities accountable. Initiatives may occur at local, national, or international levels and must contribute directly to strengthening the peace process. Direct Support offers up to $25,000 in services paid directly by WPHF-RRW. This stream is open to individuals, informal groups, and women’s networks. Eligible expenses include translation, childcare, disability access, travel, printing, and hiring consultants for training or data collection—provided they relate directly to peace process activities. Formal registration is not required for this stream.
For Direct Support application, individual women peacebuilders or national, regional, local women’s rights organizations, youth focused, or young women led organizations, feminist civil society organizations, networks of women mediators can apply. Coalitions among CSOs are also eligible.
Ineligible applicants include international NGOs, government agencies, UN bodies, private companies, political parties, research institutions, and universities. Funding will not be provided to these entities under either stream.
This is a powerful opportunity for grassroots women peacebuilders and civil society groups to access the resources needed to influence and shape peace processes in their communities. Those who are committed to gender equality, peacebuilding, and inclusive political participation are encouraged to apply with well-aligned proposals.
