Deadline: 31-Oct-2025
The Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP) and Bangladesh Tobacco Control Research Network (BTCRN), in collaboration with the Institute for Global Tobacco Control at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and other stakeholders, are inviting applications for the Tobacco Control Policy Research Grant Program 2026.
The 2026 program will continue this legacy by supporting nine-month research projects under two categories. The Student Category will receive US$5,000 per selected proposal, while the Researcher Category will receive US$10,000.
Eligible applicants include postgraduate students and experienced researchers committed to advancing tobacco control policy research in Bangladesh. Students must be enrolled in a University Grants Commission of Bangladesh recognized university, provide proof of enrollment, and submit letters of consent from their supervisor or mentor, as well as a no objection letter if employed.
Researchers must hold at least a master’s degree, have a minimum of three years of research experience, provide a list of past research work, and submit a no objection letter from their organization if applicable. In both categories, a supervisor or mentor is required to oversee the project, and selected grantees must be available in Bangladesh for the research period.
Proposals will undergo a rigorous selection process, beginning with shortlisting based on program priorities and proposal quality. Shortlisted applicants will present their proposals to a review panel, after which final selections will be made. The program will commence in March 2026.
The deadline for proposal submission is November 7, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. Bangladesh Time.
