Deadline: 31-Oct-2025
The India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) has announced a new request for proposals inviting government-aided and nonprofit schools across India to design and implement arts-integrated educational projects.
This initiative aims to strengthen creative teaching and learning practices by blending the arts with academic subjects, with a special focus on schools located in non-metropolitan regions.
Schools are encouraged to propose innovative ideas that connect local art forms, traditions, and cultural practices with classroom learning. The objective is to help students engage more deeply with their surroundings, enhance creativity, and cultivate critical thinking through the arts. Each project should demonstrate how artistic processes can be woven into the curriculum to make education more inclusive, experiential, and rooted in community culture.
Selected proposals will receive financial support of up to Rs 4,00,000 (Rupees Four Lakh), enabling schools to experiment with creative pedagogical approaches, collaborate with local artists, and create meaningful learning environments. The duration of each project can range from a minimum of one year to a maximum of one year and six months, offering ample time for schools to plan, execute, and document their initiatives effectively.
Schools must submit complete proposals electronically in a single file, ensuring clarity in their vision, goals, methods, and expected outcomes. The IFA team will evaluate submissions based on creativity, relevance, and the potential for long-term impact on both students and educators.
This call offers an exciting opportunity for schools to reimagine education through the transformative power of the arts. By integrating creative expression with formal learning, these projects aim to build stronger connections between schools and their communities while nurturing imagination, empathy, and joy in the classroom.
