Heart of Bucks, the Rothschild Foundation, and The Clare Foundation are pleased to launch their Buckinghamshire Wellbeing Capacity Fund.
The successful applicant will receive a one-off grant to deliver a holistic project working to create new capacity to support wellbeing across the county and make Buckinghamshire’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic sustainable, with reach into all communities.
Funding Information
- £68,000 plus possible additional £5,000 for partnership working costs.
Funding Priorities
- Applications will be considered for the priority that:
- Demonstrate partnership/collaboration with other NfP organizations
- Indicate how they will work closely with organizations outside of the NfP – for example the local authority, Buckinghamshire Business First, the healthcare trust, and other relevant agencies.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how to work effectively within
- Buckinghamshire as a ‘place’, including engaging with the community boards for more localized aspects.
- In addition to local collaboration, your project proposal for Heart of Bucks Buckinghamshire Wellbeing Capacity Fund should incorporate active engagement with at least one of the following priority groups:
- BAME groups;
- LGBTQ+ community;
- Young people aged under 25
- And/or one of the following priority issues:
- Physical activity & health
- ‘Green’ recovery and environmental sustainability;
- Digital inclusion & accessibility.
Eligibility Criteria
- Registered charities, voluntary and community groups which are based in, or operate for the benefit of, residents in Buckinghamshire. The lead applicant for Heart of Bucks’ Buckinghamshire Wellbeing Capacity Fund must be formally constituted and operate for public benefit.
- Preference will be given to consortium/partnership applications of two or more local organizations.
- Applications should be made by the lead organization ONLY.
- Both new, and enhancements to existing, projects will be considered.
Process
- Heart of Bucks will manage an online application process for the fund. Due diligence checks will be undertaken and any clarification questions raised with the lead applicant. Applications will be shortlisted according to the criteria Defined.
Workshop
- To help facilitate the multi-agency discussions that will be needed to form suitable projects, an open workshop will be hosted by Heart of Bucks.
- This workshop will enable organizations to meet, discuss the challenges, and possible solutions.
- It will be an opportunity to meet other organizations that might make suitable partners for making an application to the Capacity Fund. More details on the workshop will be released shortly.
Decision
- A grants panel, made up of delegated representatives from contributors to the Capacity Fund and other relevant people, will convene to review the shortlisted applications and make a decision.
Accountability
- The lead partner will hold responsibility for the delivery of the project, and for compliance with the Terms and Conditions across all partners.
- You may wish to consider creating a Partnership Agreement or Memorandum of Understanding, which sets out the responsibilities within your partnership.
- However, the Funders contract will be with the lead partner who will remain responsible for delivery.
