The Freebridge Community Housing Fund offers grants to local and community led organisations running projects that support the health and wellbeing of communities in West and North Norfolk.
The Freebridge Community Housing Fund provides vital financial support for small, locally rooted organisations in West and North Norfolk, with the goal of enhancing health and wellbeing in the community. Through grants of up to £5,000, this fund is aimed at helping projects that make a real difference for Freebridge tenants and the wider locality, especially those that tackle disadvantage, foster community cohesion, and improve the local environment.
Organisations eligible to apply include charities, faith groups, social enterprises or CICs, parish or town councils, and voluntary/community groups operating within King’s Lynn & West Norfolk or North Norfolk. Priority is given to small groups working very locally, volunteers-based projects, and those whose work directly benefits Freebridge’s tenants..
Over recent years, Freebridge has used the fund to support a wide array of grassroots projects. In one recent round, £40,000 was allocated among ten community groups making impacts in areas like wellbeing, social inclusion, youth services, and community space management.
For example, groups such as The Pandora Project, Swan Youth Project, and North Lynn Methodist Church, among others, received funding to continue or expand community‑oriented activities.
This fund offers a significant opportunity for small community-led groups to access grants that help improve the lives of residents and strengthen neighbourhoods. If your organisation operates locally in West or North Norfolk and supports Freebridge tenants in meaningful ways, this fund could provide essential resources to uplift your work.
