Deadline: 31-May-2026
The Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program provides vital financial support to community sport and active recreation organisations across Victoria that have suffered loss or damage to essential equipment due to unforeseen events.
The program focuses on providing funding to replace or repair essential sport or first aid equipment that has been lost or destroyed because of unpreventable incidents, including bushfire, flood, significant storms, theft, arson, or criminal damage.
Grants of up to $2,000 are available to eligible applicants. To qualify, organisations must be community sport or active recreation groups operating in Victoria that are not-for-profit and non-government.
This grant initiative aims to strengthen the resilience of local sporting communities by ensuring they can quickly recover and continue to deliver safe, inclusive, and active participation opportunities. It recognises the role of grassroots organisations in promoting health, connection, and wellbeing through sport and physical activity. By offering immediate financial assistance, the program supports communities in restoring their facilities and maintaining the continuity of their activities despite unexpected disruptions.
Eligible applicants must deliver a person-centric physical activity and be registered and operating in Victoria as an incorporated association, a company limited by guarantee, or an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporation.
The program ensures that community-based organisations can remain strong and active contributors to Victoria’s sporting culture, even in the face of natural disasters or criminal incidents, helping them rebuild, replace vital equipment, and continue serving their members and communities.
