The House of Human Sciences Foundation has launched a call for applications for postdoctoral researchers residing in France who defended their PhD between 2020 and 2025.
The focus areas for this call include interdisciplinary research projects in the humanities and social sciences involving field-work to be carried out in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), the South Caucasus (Armenia, Georgia), or Moldova.
This call is open to postdoctoral researchers residing in France who have defended their PhD between 2020 and 2025 and are affiliated with a French research centre or laboratory. The selected researchers will receive financial assistance of €1,600 per month for a stay of two to three months, covering transportation and living expenses.
Eligible projects must include exploratory field-work in the target regions and develop partnerships with local institutions. Preference will be given to proposals that have not yet benefited from the programme. Upon completion, researchers are required to submit a 10,000-character report and may be invited to contribute a publication with the hosting institute. including a 10,000–20,000 character research project note, a two-page CV, a signed cover letter, and a letter of support from the host French laboratory.
This fellowship presents an excellent opportunity for emerging researchers to strengthen their academic collaborations and deepen their field-based work across the Baltic States, South Caucasus, and Moldova.
