The World Food Programme (WFP) is implementing a new initiative in the Departamento de Olancho, Honduras, under the sector of livelihoods, with a specific focus on technical and vocational education and training.
This effort seeks to strengthen the skills and capacities of local communities, enhancing their ability to achieve sustainable livelihoods and greater economic stability.
Through this program, WFP aims to equip individuals with practical training that promotes self-reliance and employability, supporting broader community development and resilience. The initiative also emphasizes data-driven planning and monitoring to ensure effective implementation and measurable outcomes.
The expected results of the project include the development of a comprehensive capacity plan, a structured data collection plan, achievement of targeted capacity-building goals, successful collection and analysis of relevant data, and the preparation of a final report summarizing the outcomes and lessons learned. This initiative reinforces WFP’s commitment to fostering human capital and supporting livelihood sustainability in Honduras.
