The Animal Assistance Foundation opens an annual grant cycle for organizations seeking support for projects or programs that enhance the five freedoms for companion animals in Colorado.
AAF has spent the last several months evaluating grant making practices to ensure that they align with overall best practices and to better understand our role in crisis.
Eligibility Criteria
- Designated 501 (c)(3) non-profit, fiscal sponsor or government entity
- Provide services in the state of Colorado
- Proposal aligns with the mission of AAF
- Demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, community responsibility, and non-divisive language
- Recent PACFA license and statistics for organizations requiring a license through the Pet Animal Care Facilities Act
- All organizations must be enrolled and reporting data to Shelter Animals Count or the Equine Welfare Data Collective, if applicable.
