Deadline: 17-Nov-2025
Applications are now open for the WACL Talent Awards, a grant program designed to support the leadership advancement of emerging female+ professionals in media, marketing, advertising, and communications.
Beyond the tangible rewards, the process of applying itself is designed to be an enriching learning experience. Winning this prestigious award helps individuals develop new skills, accelerate their careers, and enhance their professional credibility within the industry.
Each year, approximately 25 individuals are awarded grants of up to £1,500 (inclusive of VAT) to fund a training course of their choice, aimed at supporting their future goals. The award not only provides financial assistance but also offers recipients valuable professional growth opportunities. This network provides access to peer-to-peer learning events, mentoring, and platforms to raise one’s industry profile.
The WACL Talent Award opens doors for ambitious individuals who want to make a difference and are motivated to succeed in their professional journey. The award welcomes applicants from all industry sectors, provided their roles fall within media, marketing, advertising, or communications.
Identify as female+, including cisgender women, transgender women, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and intersex people. Be currently or most recently employed or engaged in the media, marketing, advertising, and communications industry.
Be based in the UK, possess at least three years of industry experience, remain committed to a long-term career within this field, and have your application endorsed by your current or most recent employer or sponsor.
For instance, a Marketing Manager at a bank or someone working on a paid search strategy for the bank would be eligible, while those in non-industry roles such as HR would not qualify.
The selection process includes a detailed timeline, with applications closing on Monday 17th November, shortlisting notifications on Friday 12th December, interviews on 19th, 20th, and 22nd January, and a winners celebration evening scheduled for Wednesday 4th March.
