The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for proposals for the Selection of an NGO for Implementation of Women’s Empowerment Activities in the Kidal Region.
This intervention falls within the framework of the implementation of sustainable solutions in order to promote economic recovery in the Kidal region. While awaiting the finalization of the joint program for the implementation of durable solutions in the Kidal region, these projects constitute the beginning of a response by hearing the consolidation of projects / programs to even tackle the structural challenges facing the Kidal region.
Objectives
General objective: Strengthen community resilience through the socio-economic empowerment of women and through the creation and development of high impact micro-projects.
Specific objectives: Specifically, this action aims to:
- Contribute to the socio-economic development of women in the Kidal region
- Create sustainable sources of income for vulnerable women;
- Strengthen the capacities of around 200 women in entrepreneurship;
- Revitalize microenterprises affected by the security crisis;
- Ensure the supervision of groups / associations of young people and women through mentoring;
- Contribute to economic recovery in the Kidal region through support for microenterprises;
- Promote living together between populations and stimulate a dynamic of social cohesion at the base.
Funding Information
- The financial proposal must not exceed 110,000 USD.
- The duration of the service is 45 clear days, counting from the date of signature of the contract.
- Any delay or constraint in the execution must be reported to UNDP who will advise.
Expected Results
- About 200 women from the Kidal region participate in socioeconomic life in their communities;
- The capacities of around 200 women entrepreneurs were strengthened in entrepreneurship;
- Women’s groups / associations are supported and followed through mentoring;
- Women’s groups / associations are developing activities contributing to economic recovery in the Kidal region;
- Living together is strengthened through the implementation of community projects.
Deliverables
The NGO providing the service is expected to:
- Theoretical and practical training of 200 women in entrepreneurship, particularly in fattening, trade and crafts;
- The endowment of 200 women in attestation;
- Placement of 200 women under mentoring;
- The granting of seed funds to 200 women entrepreneurs;
- The production of a clear 3-minute video on the achievements that can be used by social networks and state media.
Criteria
- Any non-governmental organization under Malian law or operating in Mali, civil society organization legally recognized and active in issues of promotion of young people and women are concerned.
- LONG interested in this service, must provide:
- An administrative file attesting to the regularity and legality of (the organization, the staff and (the experience of the NGO);
- A project description according to the form.
After notification of the NGO selected, an agreement will be signed making the partnership official within the framework of the implementation of the activities.
